There’s an art to building relationships.
Everyone builds their relationships for a variety of reasons,
some personal, some professional.
In my work, I’ve helped thousands of people build profitable worthwhile relationships, and in our discussions the same things come up over and over again:
How do I start? What should I say? What’s the best way to begin?
My response is always the same: Do what feels natural, trust in who you are and let things unfold in their own way.
Don’t force ….. allow.
Don’t push or pull …. take your time and play.
In essence, begin with the relationship builders creed and be open to what happens.
The Relationship Builders Creed
You bring who you are,
I’ll bring who I am,
and together we’ll discover what’s there.
If we like what we find, we’ll want more
And if we don’t, we won’t.

What is it with ambition? Is it something like being bit by a vampire?
Once bitten, life can never be the same.
I used to be human but now I’m a vampire.
or I used to be comfortable and happy with life but now I’m ambitious.

Everybody’s doin a brand new dance now.
C’mon baby do the Vision motion (apologies to Little Eva)
It seems wherever you look – ya gotta have a vision.
Well if Vision is a seeing thing (and it is) what is it that I gotta see?
How far am I supposed to look?
What do I do once I’ve looked out to sea (Apologies – couldn’t resist the pun)
Now that I can see what I want for dinner, now what?
Do I need to look out as far as my death?
The next 30 years? 20? 10? 7-5? 3? 1?
6 months from now? 3 months? 1 month?
How far am I supposed to look?
And what am I supposed to be looking at?
Any ideas?

Is saying I want to …… enough to galvanise you into action?
What has to happen for you to take action?
Where on the scale below would you rate your commitment to get things done and make them happen?
0 25% 50% 75% 100%

What’s the health and fitness, the state of your ambition?
Is it clear, focussed and determined – lean and mean like a sex machine (thanks James!)
Or is listless, a quiet echo of a once vital, loud voice – has it put on weight and become fat and flabby?

What is it with ambition anyway?
Why doesn’t it give you a day off?
Have you ever had an ambition free day?
What did you do with yourself?
What was it like? Did you know what to do or how to handle it?
Sunday came around yesterday and ambition was like most days, whispering its sweet nothings in my ear,
reminding me that it was all mine for the taking. That if I really want to I can.
All I have to do is want it.
What about you? Does your ambition ever have a day off?

How many times have you thought – I could do that?
That doesn’t look too hard, with a bit of practice I could do that.
It always seems like people convince themselves that they coulda been a contender.
Yet the number of people who actually make the effort is small.
The number who do and succeed is even less.
So what is it that actually makes the difference?
Is it the right Knowledge? The right Strategy? Skill? The Right Attitude?
What does it actually take?
Ambitious? Frustrated? Talented? Successful?
What does it really take to turn Ambition into Reality?
